Do you offer digital x-rays?

We offer digital X-rays in 2 formats:

1) Intra-Oral Sensors

These go inside the mouth, replacing the traditional cardboard-texture films you might have had in the past. Intra-oral sensors offer a focused, detailed image showing several teeth at a time.

2) Extra-Oral Panoramic Unit

This machine captures the entire dentition along with supporting jaw structures in a single pass. This method is ideal for gaining a view of areas outside the range of intra-oral sensors. This is also used for children or adults with a strong gag reflex to intra-oral sensors.

What makes digital x-rays superior?

Digital offers a number of significant advantages over traditional films:

  • Crystal clear detail at a fraction of the radiation exposure (75% less on average).

  • Ability to project images on wall-mounted TV monitors viewable by patient and staff together.

  • Interactive viewing software improves patient education during treatment and exam consultation.

  • Elimination of processing delays, i.e. the x-rays are immediately available to view.

  • Portability of images for use by specialty referral dentists reduces patient costs and unnecessary radiation exposure (from retaking x-rays).

Do you take my insurance?

While we do take most insurance plans and are "In-Network" for several of them, it is important to confirm that your insurance company allows you to see us if we are "Out-of-Network."

There are times when seeing an out-of-network provider will limit coverage amounts/annual max allowed or exclude coverage entirely.

Sometimes the difference between "In-Network" and "Out-of-Network" is negligible, but there are also times when it is significantly advantageous to remain "In-Network".

Frequently if there is a concern about what your out-of-pocket cost will be for recommended treatment. To help you get as much information as possible in deciding whether to move forward with a given treatment, we can submit a pre-determination to your insurance company in advance.

We are happy to look into your insurance coverage for you. Just contact us via phone or email and have your plan information available.

NOTE: We do not accept Medicaid dental insurance plans.

Do you offer teeth whitening?

We currently offer custom-made bleaching trays, which are worn for 30-60 minutes at the convenience of your schedule. We find this works best for our patients, as opposed to incurring extra fees for in-office chair time and extra appointments as new stains develop.

What are you watching?

Our treatment rooms and reception area are all equipped with Roku TV monitors. When these aren’t being used for dental purposes, we offer a variety of streaming services for you to watch during your appointment.

(We’ve now seen The Greatest Showman more times than we can count.)
